Leadership is never just about how to run a better meeting or how to get more money to the bottom line, despite how important that is, it’s not the only objective of a good leader.  We’re talking about leaders who are capable of change the world at any level, with or without a title.  Every meaningful accomplishment, concept, business, or cause began with the notion of just one person who said, “I think there’s more to this. I think this can be done differently.”

As with everything in life and business, FocusWorks Training & Development started with that very idea…a vision really, that we could “do this better.”  A vision that includes a place where emerging leaders can engage in the life-long process of learning and personal development.  A place where born leaders can be made.

Amplified Leadership

We are by our very nature designed to be contributors to the world around us but in order to do this in a way that becomes the tipping point for change, leaders must become conductors of people and not just processes.  We believe in order to lead effectively, we have to take the necessary steps to let our voices be heard for the sole purpose of enlisting the support of others who will then help us carry out our mission by developing them as leaders and not creating a culture of followers.  We believe amplified leadership starts with the ability to cast the vision and to do it so compellingly, people will participate and advocate for that vision as if it were their own without ever being asked to do so.

Our Mission

At our core, our deepest desire is to make the world a better place by making the people who run it and live in it better people.  In order for that to be realized, we need to develop world class leaders who intrinsically understand what it means to build people up and elevate their greatest potential and to engage in the process of building a solid foundation on which the relational leadership model can be built.  If everything rises and falls on leadership, as John Maxwell says, then leadership rises and falls on relationships and the ability to be the kind of leader people want to follow. Built on the belief that everyone has within them the ability and potential to become a world class, transformative leader, we are dedicated to providing the training, mentorship and encouragement that is the catalyst for greatness in life and careers of emerging leaders.
